Photography started out as hobby back in 1985 and for years it was a love of recording images of life that surrounds us everyday.  Then it happened.  In 1999,  I hired a person to photograph my wedding celebration.  Being familiar with cameras I first noticed they arrived using equipment I felt inadequate.  Then part way through the day their flash equipment was failing.  I became extremely nervous and offered my own personal equipment that I had with me to them to use.  To make a long story short.  When I reviewed the proofs, I nearly lost my mind. Needless to say I do not have any pictures worth enlarging to hang on my walls!

 Alas,  Ray Sharkey Studio was born.

 Personally dedicated to protecting wedding couples and families with portrait needs from the horrific experience that I myself fell victim to.
